A nice parent group example in Washington State
Parents in the Mandarin immersion program in the Naselle-Grays River Valley School District just north of Portland Oregon, on the Washington coast, launched the Rising Star group in 2015 to support their program.
I firmly believe that as busy parents we should never be reinventing the wheel, so other programs might want to take a look at what Nacelle has got going here.
Liu Xing
Liu Xing is a community group supporting the Mandarin Immersion program at Naselle Elementary. Liu Xing means “Rising Star” in Mandarin.
The goal of this website is to keep the parents and community up-to-date with the current events, information and the overall experience of the Mandarin program at Naselle Elementary.
